How can I prevent or clean mould that causes the tile joints to darken?
Apply anti-fungal cement and let it dry completely. Then apply a hydrophobic agent (to keep humidity out) or any other water-based seal. Maintenance requires the reapplication of this seal every 4 years.
How should I clean tiles at the end of the project?
At the end of the project, clean tiles with the appropriate chemicals for removing existing debris. Follow the use instructions of the cleaning products and make sure they do not contain hydrofluoric acid. We recommend you test the products on an extra tile before proceeding.
What about the day-to-day cleaning of ceramic wall and floor tiles?
Maintaining and cleaning ceramic tiles is very practical and easy. For daily cleaning, use water (preferably warm) and a neutral detergent. We recommend you use only very small amounts of detergent that can be removed completely after cleaning.
Can I use bleach to clean ceramic floor and wall tiles?
Yes, you can. Bleach is a diluted sodium hypochlorite solution with a basic pH that does not harm this material.
I spilt coffee on the floor tiles and I cannot remove the stain. What should I do?
When a liquid that stains is spilt (coffee, olive oil, varnish, etc.), wipe it up immediately with a wet cloth. If the liquid is left on the floor for a long time until it dries, the stain can only be removed with a suitable cleaning product.
