A Gesture for Peace

This Christmas you can be someone's Star

Is the motto of yet another campaign "10 Million Stars - A Gesture for Peace” by Cáritas. Revigrés has joined this initiative by announcing it to its customers and partners.

This action, which began in France in 1984, aims to raise awareness of the values of peace and solidarity, especially at Christmas time, and to strengthen social support actions in Portugal and in Portuguese-speaking countries.

Through strong social action and emergency support, Cáritas Portugal works to reverse the poverty curve, supports disadvantaged children in and outside school and delivers vocational training programmes to develop skills for professional integration. Furthermore, by gathering a large network of volunteers across the country, it provides strong international support, working hard to balance inequalities and support basic survival structures.
