About us

Revigrés is a world reference in ceramics, specialized in the production of wall and floor tiles.
Founded in 1977 by a group of businessmen, for the first 30 years the company relied on the leadership and the drive of one of its founders: Engineer Adolfo Roque.
Revigrés headquarters are located in Barrô (Águeda) and its commercial building – opened in 1997 -, is a project by Architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, the first winner of the Pritzker Prize in Portugal. In addition to the showroom at headquarters, Revigrés also has a showroom in Lisbon (Saldanha).

The most noble of the ceramic materials

Revigres’ full body porcelain tiles (Porcelanato) is especially designed for use in high traffic public areas.
It’s available with numerous aesthetic effects – marble, shale, deck, wood, cement, metallic, mirror, among others – with all of the advantages of full body porcelain tiles: almost null porosity, waterproof and high resistance to stains, high resistance to use, tolerance to wide temperature range and easy cleaning and maintenance.
Its technical and aesthetic characteristics make it a reliable and appropriate solution for all types of use: wall or floor, interior or exterior, public or residential areas.

Revigrés collaborates closely and in partnership with professionals in the domestic and international markets, and is often chosen to participate in major works, by developing special, personalized and unique projects.
Present in more than 50 countries, it has contributed to several emblematic works in all continents. Emphasis on: the Sagrada Família Basilica in Barcelona, for which Revigrés exclusively developed the colours of the Chromatic Collection; Harrods in England; several computer stores in the USA and Canada; international airports in Russia and Poland; underground stations in Spain and Saudi Arabia; football stadiums, shopping centers and hotels in Portugal.
Revigres’ collections can also be found in sites of brands such as Jo Malone, Victoria’s Secret, McDonald’s, Warner Lusomundo, Starbucks, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Fnac and Vila Galé, among others.

    Launch of the 2019 General Catalogue: Revigrés presents all collections in a single catalogue for the first time.

    Meeting 100% Revigrés, for distributors of the national market. The program included an exhibition at the Casa da Musica of Porto presenting the new collections, followed by a dinner and concert by the Porto Philharmonic Orchestra.

    Participation in the Cevisama Fair in Valencia, Spain.

    Launch of the first BIM (Building Information Modeling) objects with the Chromatic Collection.

    The REVICOMFORT floor tile from Revigrés was elected Product of the Year 2014 under the category of ceramic wall and floor tiles for product innovation and the trust that the Portuguese consumers have placed in the Revigrés brand.

    Revigrés received the A’Design Award 2014 with the Gold distinction in the context of the International A’Design Award & Competition. Revigrés is thus the first Portuguese company in the ceramic sector to receive this award.

    Commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Revigrés and the Inauguration of the Commercial Building (which includes an exhibition hall, auditorium and offices). This building was designed by the Architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

    Inauguration of a new delegation in Lisbon (Picoas) with an exhibition hall and offices.

    Revigrés sponsors the 1st edition of the National Design Contest in collaboration with the Youth Foundation. This sponsorship has been extended until today.

    Strategic link to natural gas, the upshot of the investment in a study undertaken by Adolfo Roque about “Natural Gas for Portugal”, presented to the parties in government and decision-makers and which influenced the course of decisions taken by the Minister of Industry and Energy, Mira Amaral, in this area. This study leads to the coming on board of industry en masse and, in particular, of the ceramic sector, to this energy.

    Installation of the Industrial Solid Waste Recycling Plant and modernisation of the Industrial Liquid Effluent Treatment Plant in line with Revigrés environmental policy.

    Launch of the “Buçaco” Thematic Collection which is also inspired by the artistic tradition of the ceramic mosaic.

    Presentation of 1st “Best Floor Tile Design” Award (Best Floor Design) to the Aviz flooring from the Óbidos Collection in England.

    Awarding of the Quality Certificate in accordance with the standards NP EN ISO 9002 by the Portuguese Quality Institute (IPQ). Revigrés is the 1st company in the ceramic tiling and flooring sector to achieve Certified Quality.

    Commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Revigrés with a performance by the fado singer Amália Rodrigues.

    There was a major reconversion of the raw materials processing sector, with a view to improving the quality of the final product and making production more flexible.

    Revigrés Sponsorship of Oporto Football Club. We were the first Portuguese company to sponsor a 1st division Football club and this is already the longest sponsorship Europeanwide and, perhaps, worldwide, which has contributed to Revigrés’ attainment of a high level of international fame.

    Installation of a third firing kiln for the production of hand-painted mosaics.
